Omar Portillo is member of the Performance Engineering Laboratory and the Irish Software Research Centre (Lero). His main research interests are data privacy, quality assurance, software engineering, project management, business analysis, performance engineering, software testing and automation. He also mentoring MSc and PhD researchers, occasionally lecturing in software engineering topics, and participating on two research collaboration projects with IBM.
Furthermore, he is an IT practitioner with more than 15 years of professional experience (both in the industry and academia). In his professional life, he has been manager, researcher, business analyst, architect and software engineer.
