People:Philip.Perry
Philip Perry is a senior research fellow in the Performance Engineering Laboratory in the School of Computer Science and Informatics at University College Dublin. He received his B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 1987, his M.Sc. in RF and Microwave Engineering from the University of Bradford, England in 1989 and his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering in 1998 from University College Dublin (UCD).
He has previously been a lecturer in Electronics at Dublin City University, a radio design engineer at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, an industrial trainer for Ericsson, a consultant engineer, intellectual property manager at the SFI funded research centre “CTVR”, research management consultant, CSO, CTO and CEO of a number of start-up companies (Perryradio, Qostech, Verax Systems (Ireland), Adaptive HVM and Pilot Photonics) and has conducted research in electronic engineering and computer science in both UCD and DCU. His research areas include cellular systems, wireless networking, optical networking, vehicular networking, the impact of network impairments on service quality and software test methodologies. Dr Perry has more than 90 publications and an h-index of 18.
